26 Sep 2015 - Yoga Gives Back (YGB) Fundraiser event! Feeling blessed and thankful to be able to participate in my first YGB fundraiser guiding a 90mins vinyasa flow class in PWYW studio, smacked in the heart of the city with natural lighting and city views!
Classes for YGB are conducted on a "Pay What You Wish" (PWYW) basis and all proceeds collected go to Yoga Gives Back Organization to help struggling mothers and children in India. We managed to raise a pretty decent amount with 2 Yoga Gives Back sessions, all thanks to the kind generosity from the yogis who attended the sessions.
Love planting positive seeds and sending positive vibes with karma yoga. It takes you off the "BIG ME" into a "small me". Instead of seeing yourself as the BIG ocean, you are now seeing yourself as a small drop in the big ocean. We are all connected and our contribution does make a difference. Our energy affects everyone else's energy and everything we feel uplifted, our positive energy bounces onto other people and off them onto others. Moods are contagious! **Sara's own words and logic, hahahaha
Have always thought of starting charity yoga classes for local charity organizations, as I strongly believe that Kindness Starts from Home. There are many people in Singapore who needs our help, in every little way. It can be a kind gesture, a kind word, a kind smile, a free yoga class or some spare cash. No contribution is too small or too little, and every contribution makes a difference!
Writing this entry during my me-time lunch hour, love lunching alone sometimes, because it is pretty therapeutic. Back to work now , till next time!
